顎式破碎機的工作部分是兩塊顎板，一是固定顎板（定顎），垂直（或上端略外傾）固定在機體前壁上，另一是活動顎板（動顎），位置傾斜，與固定顎板形成上大下小的破碎腔（工作腔）�；顒宇�板對著固定顎板做周期性的往復運動，時而分開，時而靠近。分開時，物料進入破碎腔，成品從下部卸出；靠近時，使裝在兩塊顎板之間的物料受到擠壓，彎折和劈裂作用而破碎。顎式破碎機目前廣泛使用的齒板多是采用高錳鋼制造。由于物料的沖刷，破碎過程中的擠壓，碾磨作用，造成齒板磨損嚴重，針對這一情況，DJM 選用高錳鋼為基材的陶瓷復合材料，即齒板的基體采用高錳鋼，同時在基體上嵌鑄具有高耐磨性的陶瓷隨形加強筋，在保持高錳鋼原有的加工硬化耐沖擊性能的同時提高了高錳鋼的耐磨強度，陶瓷復合材料齒板的壽命約為高錳鋼齒板的2倍以上。
